We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The chosen person will be based in our London office while working closely with our Paris office, so native French is a must.

The chosen person will primarily report to the Head of Casson Mann Paris. They will also work under the guidance of our Directors and other senior design staff to help support the design process at all stages.

About the person:

We are looking for a native French speaker, based in the UK, with a minimum of 4 years design background/experience. The chosen person must:

 -     Be a strong team player within our dynamic design studio

-      Be a conduit of communication between the design team and the Project Client team

-      Open to working with a variety of creative professionals across a broad spectrum of exciting design projects

-      Understand key project management processes – end of stage, RFIs, change management, contractual obligations, snagging and sign-off

About the role

The duties will include, but are not exclusive to:

 

Admin

-       Manage diary appointments, taking minutes, decisions, and actions, and follow up accordingly

-       Attend internal design meetings and with Casson Mann sub-contractors, documenting decisions and actions. Assist the Lead Designer in briefing sub-contractors and ensure they have all relevant information for their packages of work

-       Work alongside the Lead Designer to ensure any drawings and/or schedules produced by Casson Mann capture information accurately and in the correct format for sharing with others on the project

-       Generate and manage key internal schedules until they are handed over to build contractors (if appropriate)

-       Work with the Director/Project Leads to contribute to the overall project programme and work backwards to ensure Casson Mann understands all requirements to meet key milestone deadlines – workshops, deliverables, mid-stage points

-       Ensure accurate filing and version control, both on internal files and on any shared drives/common data environments with sub-contractors and client team

 

Communication

-       Along with the Lead Designer, manage the day-to-day communication with the client, sub-contractors and/or others as appropriate, acting as the conduit of information whenever required

-       Support the Lead Designer in presenting design developments to the client, capturing feedback and documenting agreed decisions and actions

-       Attend project management and reporting meetings with the client and other involved parties, representing Casson Mann and updating on our work/answering questions on design

-       Answering written questions or RFIs from other parties on the design along with the Lead Designer

-       Report on progress and any issues to the Director/Project Leads as part of regular meetings

-       Flag risks to the Director/Project Leads and be part of the team devising potential mitigation of those risks

  

Team Management

-       Work with the Lead Designer to bring on board and update other members of the Casson Mann team who are assisting on the project at any time

-       Work with the Director and Lead Designer to ensure design tasks are allocated and monitored

-       Understand Casson Mann’s role on projects in conjunction with others, and work accordingly. Ensure that all Casson Mann staff understand these also.

 

New Business

-       Compile information for PQQs, tenders, interviews

-       Represent Casson Mann at site visits and presentations

-       Survey sources of information for new business opportunities and flag these to the Project Leads

-       Assist in identifying possible working partners/sub-contractors on new projects
