"Casson Mann considers content, form and space as a coherent whole."

Press Agence has written two articles on Casson Mann and our upcoming project in Paris, Musée National de la Marine.

"Casson Mann, the best scenography agency in the world"

PA writes: "Casson Mann's mission is to create innovative, tailor-made projects for its international clients...To place visitors at the heart of its approach, Casson Mann considers content, form and space as a coherent whole. Whatever the story to be told, from collection-rich displays to digital installations, Casson Mann's aim is to deliver a varied and unforgettable experience that exceeds visitors' expectations."

"In Paris, Casson Mann is currently designing Le Palais de la Découverte, due to open in 2025. The launch of the new scenographic journey at the Palais du Tau in Reims is scheduled for the same year. The Musée National de la Marine is their first project in the French capital."

"An original scenography at the Musée national de la Marine"

Covering the opening of the Musée National de la Marine this autumn, the other PA article says: "At a time when maritime issues are at the heart of current affairs more than ever (economy, environment, geopolitics, science, etc.), the Musée national de la Marine is reinventing itself as a museum for society, open to the times, a place for exchanges and meetings, a forum for the major issues affecting the blue planet."

"In autumn 2023, the doors will open on a living place, a place of knowledge and emotion thanks to an innovative, multi-sensory itinerary... A place of participation and commitment that will raise awareness of this universal message: "the sea is the future of mankind"."

"The visit begins with a life-size stylised bow (the part that forms the prow of a ship) into which visitors enter. Immersed in an immersive marine environment, they learn about the sea via a film projected onto a large hemispherical screen overlooking the visitors and offering multiple viewpoints: under the sea, on the surface and in the air."

"Casson Mann's approach is rooted in the desire to make the museum a living institution, linking the stories of the sea to the deep connections that the nation has with it, for a wide audience. Their approach is built around the need to captivate and inspire as many people as possible."

"The design chosen therefore enhances the sober, elegant spaces created following the architectural renovation. It makes use of the building's curves to give visitors a natural, intuitive way through. At the same time, by making the most of the building's volumes, visitors are encouraged to venture into these spaces where large-scale sculptural installations have been introduced."

"The visitor experience is at the heart of the scenographic design, the idea being that visitors should be able to understand, enjoy and relax during their journey through the museum. To achieve this, visitors are invited to make their own choices, to follow their own course, and to shape their visit in the way that suits them best, following the flow of their interests and desires at the time."

"The scenographic route leaves visitors a great deal of freedom to make the most of the richness of the collection. To attract and interest a wide and diverse audience, including families, young people, art lovers, neophytes, individual visitors, people with disabilities, groups, etc., the scenography offers immersive worlds of great beauty in which, thanks to the staging, and of course thanks to the works, visitors are immediately immersed in an emotional and sensory way. The exhibition spaces are designed to reveal new angles and original approaches, particularly to current maritime issues and challenges."

"Accessibility is a key aspect of the museum, which aims to exceed legal requirements. The scenography has been designed to include people with reduced mobility, the hearing impaired, the visually impaired, people with learning difficulties and people with mental health problems. In addition to monumental sculptural installations such as a wave and containers, the scenography includes some fifty audiovisual, interactive and manipulative devices."
